The NWPRRHS acquired the last remaining Petaluma & Santa Rosa caboose, (P&SR)
#1. A plan for exterior restoration is being implemented at this time. It is hoped that the restored caboose will
find a permanent home in Petaluma.
For information about Caboose #13 - its acquisition, move and making a contribution to the final restoration and ongoing maintenance, please click on Caboose #13.
Our long-established William R. Hogarty Memorial Library has a priceless collection of photos, maps, drawings and other related memorabilia, associated with the NWP RR. The archived materials are being kept in a climate controlled storage facility, while our work space is in a joint facility with the Rohnert Park Historical Society.
For more information about the collections in our archival library and how to get there, please click on Library.
The NWP RR logo shown above appeared on the sides of the NWP ferry boat S.S. Cazadero. Its dark background and gold lettering contrasts strikingly with the yellow lettering on blue ring logo, usually associated with the railroad. The latter logo is shown above the Navigation Buttons on the left side of your screen. The phrase 'Redwood Empire Route' was not always displayed on the logos.
